Amazing ramen spot! We were so relieved to find this place, as we had just finished a full night tour of Alcatraz and were freezing cold & starving. They’re open late in a convenient location in Chinatown, and this was the best ramen we tried in San Francisco by far. The reviews are correct; the Creamy Vegan ramen is superb, and I’m sad we weren’t able to visit more than once during our trip. Clean, modern, and stylish atmosphere – great for date night. Only hiccup: since we were visitors, we didn’t have wifi, so ordering via QR code wasn’t feasible. We look forward to visiting again & again.
The scallop ramen was great. The soup featured a rich seafood flavor. I added additional chashu to the bowl and they tasted great. I would highly recommend the ramen.
Fried octopus is okay and standard, exactly what you would expect from a Japanese restaurant.
Excellent ramen, really appreciated that they offer 3 options for vegan ramen. Had the creamy ramen which was perfectly executed. Soy milk was used to thicken the flavorful broth and that tends to separate but here it's perfectly emulsified. The crispy kale was amazing and the noodles were done just right.
The bowl of Ramen proved to be a delicious late night choice for our party. We ordered the vegan/vegetarian options and enjoyed every savory bite. There’s so much flavor punch with this bowl of ramen! The marinated tofu was unlike any other marinade I’ve had. It truly was an experience. Sooooooo good. I would highly recommend trying them out if you’re in the area. I probably would have eaten this ramen with joy on every night I was in town. 😅
Had the house ramen: hinodeya. Pretty average as far as ramen goes. The broth was nothing special at all. It lacked umami. The matcha tea I had (because they didn’t have green tea), had more umami than the ramen. It was okay, but not great, but not terrible. Just okay. Music is cool, the ambiance is great.
Went for lunch since it was close to my hotel, and it was quick, easy, and tasty. I was seated right away. Ordering is through the QR code at the table (though they do not have wifi). Good came out quickly. I got the sampler of the different ramen dishes. They were all yummy.
Consistently serves one of the best fried oysters. Always a staple whenever we dine here. We ordered the hamaguri ramen (little neck clam) and the ramen flight. The hamaguri ramen was as good as the memories. The clams were 99% easy to eat (1 wasn’t opened up). The ramen flight is a good choice for those who can’t make up their mind. Personally it’s not enough for one person, but it does allow you to try some of their best offerings. All in all, not the best ramen in the Bay but not something I’d mind going back to.
Not a lot of interaction here. You order through your phone by scanning their QR code. You pay upfront. They hand you the food. You eat and go.
The ramen flight, seems to be only available in the online menu, was great for someone who likes to try everything like me.
Dashi ramen had really tender pork. The vegan ramen surpassed my expectations; the broth was creamy, and the tofu was a bit sweet, good in small doze. The spicy miso was a bit too spicy for me, but it had corn 😋.
I only wish they included an egg, or have the option of choosing any 3 ramen instead of the fixed set.
Karaage chicken tasted good with perfect texture.
